New "About" as of March, 2023:

I am a full-time photographer AND a mom of 3 awesome kids (Blake~14, Grady~13, and Dru~10).  And I have a deep passion for photography. It's the creating memories part of photography that I can't get enough of.

I am beyond lucky, because of hard-work, and the success of my business, that I was able to turn my passion into my career. In mid-August, 2014, I left my full-time job in Corporate Communcations, to pursue my life-long goal of being a Photographer and Mom! 

Every session that I photograph, I am always, and will always, try to bring out the personality and human connection with the families.

Here is the real "About Me." I grew up in North St. Paul...got a degree in Mass Communications from St. Cloud State University...played a billion sports growing up - mostly soccer, basketball and softball in high school and basketball at SCSU. Married my cousin's neighbor (kind of like "the guy next door"), popped out 3 kids in 3.5 years, moved 3 times with those 3 kids and finally landed in Hugo (who would have predicted that)? I cried every time my maternity leave was over because I wanted to stay home...but needed to find a way to still make a living. Five years after the hubs bought me my first Digital DSLR camera (my very first Mother's Day gift), many late nights of learning the camera, editing software, and surfing the internet for information, I took a giant leap of faith, and left my "steady Eddy" job. I could not be more thankful for this opportunity. To be able to get my oldest on the school bus every morning and afternoon, to be able to stop in for lunch at school or volunteer in their classrooms and then come home and work is the best life ever!

I am officially...LIVING MY DREAM!

People change. Kids change. Life changes. My hope is to give you something that will remind you of those times in life. When in years to come, you can look back at your pictures and put yourself back in that exact moment…the way a song on the radio sometimes does.
